Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the QIO website and the QIO mobile application. It explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over your information.

Last updated: October 2026

1.Introduction

QIO (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates this website and the QIO mobile application (the “App”). QIO is a virtual shopping experience where you can browse products, fill a cart, and “check out” using QiO Coins, a virtual currency, without spending real money or receiving physical products.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to match what our website and App actually do. This website is an informational landing page that describes QIO and links to our App listings; it does not offer account sign-up, payment, or contact forms. Most of the information described below relates to your use of the App.

By using our website or the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2.Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you create an account or use the App, you may provide information such as your name, email address, or phone number, along with any messages, feedback, or referral details you choose to share with us.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites and apps, we and our service providers may automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the page that referred you, and the dates and times of your visits.

App activity. When you use the App, we may collect information about your activity, such as the items you browse or add to your cart, your QiO Coins balance and coin transactions, and your referral activity.

Real payments. QIO is designed for guilt-free, virtual shopping and does not involve real-money purchases. We therefore do not collect or store payment card or bank account details. Any purchases of digital goods made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by those platforms under their own terms and privacy policies.

This website does not ask you to submit personal information, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on it.

3.How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features, including QiO Coins and referrals;
  • create, manage, and secure your account;
  • respond to your enquiries and provide customer support;
  • personalise and improve your experience and the quality of QIO;
  • monitor usage, maintain security, and prevent misuse or fraud; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4.Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Any cookies or similar technologies we use are limited to those necessary for the website and App to function securely (for example, keeping you signed in within the App).

If we introduce analytics or advertising technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe them and, where required, obtain your consent.

5.How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with:

  • service providers, such as hosting, infrastructure, communications, and analytics providers, that help us run and improve QIO;
  • app distribution platforms, such as Apple and Google, that distribute the App;
  • professional advisers, authorities, or other parties where required by law, or where necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Where we share information with service providers, they are expected to process it only for the purposes for which it was shared and in line with their own privacy policies.

6.Third-Party Services

Our website links to the Apple App Store and Google Play so you can download the App. When you use those services, their own privacy policies apply, and we encourage you to review them. Our website is also crafted by Koiostudio, whose website is linked in our footer and is governed by its own privacy practices.

We may rely on trusted third-party providers for hosting, storage, communications, and analytics. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services to us and are expected to maintain appropriate safeguards.

7.Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it.

8.Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures may include secure connections (HTTPS), access controls, and the use of reputable cloud infrastructure.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9.Children's Privacy

QIO is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate steps.

10.Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights in relation to your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it, to withdraw your consent, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to opt out of marketing communications.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and some rights may be limited by applicable law.

11.International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required by applicable law, we take appropriate steps in relation to such transfers.

13.Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we handle your information.

14.Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, please contact us using the contact information provided on our official QIO channels or within the App.

This Privacy Policy describes our current practices in good faith based on how the QIO website and App operate. It is not legal advice and does not by itself guarantee compliance with any specific privacy law.
